As last year, the India international and Bengaluru FC’s star forward Sunil Chhetri, who is also India’s all time top goal scorer led the I league giant Bengaluru FC to a historic AFC Cup final by scripting an inspiring 3-1 win over defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim in home with his stunning double strike including one finest free kick.
Even though, the I league champions Bengaluru FC failed to win the AFC Cup final, the fact that they took the Indian football to the World map by became India's first-ever club to reach the summit clash, which is undoubtedly the beginning of a revival of Indian football at the helm of a talismanic leader like Sunil Chhetri.
