The India international Sunil Chhetri, who is currently playing for the Bangalore based I league giant Bengaluru FC has broke another record, after going past Indian football legend Bhaichung Bhutia to become the leading Indian goal-scorer I-League history

 

As we know that India is giant Cricket nation with producing some of all time great players in the history cricket and while there is a Virat Kohli in the current Indian national cricket team then Sunil Chhetri is arguably the country's most-prized possession in football, Just like the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who has enjoyed a phenomenal run over the years, Chhetri, too, has been breaking new barriers in football.

As last year, the India international and Bengaluru FC’s star forward Sunil Chhetri, who is also India’s all time top goal scorer led the I league giant Bengaluru FC to a historic AFC Cup final by scripting an inspiring 3-1 win over defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim in home with his stunning double strike including one finest free kick. 

Even though, the I league champions Bengaluru FC failed to win the AFC Cup final, the fact that they took the Indian football to the World map by became India's first-ever club to reach the summit clash, which is undoubtedly the beginning of a revival of Indian football at the helm of a talismanic leader like Sunil Chhetri.
