The India U-17 World Cup squads are currently in Russia to play the Granatkin Memorial Tournament, couldn't earn a positive result in their last match of the round-robin stage against Latvia U-17 side to advance to the quarterfinals of the ongoing tournament in Russia.

 

The Indian U 17 boys has beaten by the Lativa u 17 side by 4-1 as Latvia netted 3 goals before the changeover, having almost secured a victory on Thursday night and Albeit Sanjeev Stalin blasted the back of the net from a free-kick in the second half, Latvia nailed another goal in the 82nd minute to secure the victory tonight.

 

To qualify for Quarter-finals, India just needed a draw against Lativa, but the Lativa U 17 side has shown their best to win the match and they did scored three goals till the half time and took the lead by 3-0.

 

After the second half the Indian side also gave their best to equalize and any how found a goal by stunning free kick scored by the Sanjeev Stalin in 53rd min.

 

But, after the 75th minute, Boris Singh's rash challenge on an onrushing attacker invited a penalty for the European outfit and the shooter didn't hesitate to nail their fourth goal and secured their victory against the India u 17 to advance to the quarterfinals of the ongoing tournament in Russia.
