The India U-17 World Cup squads are currently in Russia to play the Granatkin Memorial Tournament, couldn't earn a positive result in their recent match against the Asian giant Iran on Tuesday.

India U17 side went down by 1-0, fighting against the Iran U17 on Tuesday in the Granatkin Memorial Tournament in Russia, but earned respect from the head coach of the Iran U17 side. 

The Indian side has dominated the whole game and in the eighth minute, Abhijit Sarkar failed to tap the ball home into an empty net, but the Iran U 17 boys didn’t made any mistake to net a winning goal as they went ahead in the 40th minute as Sharifi scored. India upped the ante in the second half but Abhijit Sarkar and his team-mates failed to finish off promising moves, eventually going down 0-1.

INDIAN FOOTBALL NEWS:

Even though India U 17 went down in the crucial match against Iran U 17 side, but earned the respect from the head coach of Iran U 17.

FOOTBALL MATCH:

As after the Tuesday’s match Iran head coach said, “Congratulation to my colleague on good performance today. Our teams met last year in the Asian Championship, and as for India, I guess it has progressed a lot since then.”

“Today’s match was hard for us, as in some moments our opponents were  playing better than us.”
