Manchester United new boss Jose Mourinho thinks that they should provide some time to the French international to readjust with the English Football.

In this transfer window the French international has rejoined his former side Manchester United from Juventus for a record fee off 89m in this August; he has spent his four years with the Italian champion Juventus.

The French Youngster has been criticized in some his performance for feckless, display for the Red Devils so far in this campaign, many other questioned him for which position has Mourinho has used him so far in this season but the Portuguese has defended his star midfielder.

According to the Portuguese thinks that it is not where he puts the midfielder in his formation it is about the Serie A star finds it difficult to readjust with English football.

"He can play in so many positions," Mourinho said in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports ahead of United's EFL Cup fourth-round tie with Manchester City at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

“The problem is not the position. The problem is not the tactical system.

The problem is, in my opinion, somebody that comes from a different style of football and needs this time to be at his best level in football that is really difficult to play, especially for midfield players."

The special one backed his star player by saying that the French international now understands that how to play and how to fit in this format and he is improving himself day by day.

Paul Pogba has netted 34 goals in his 178 emergences for the Serie A champions in his last four years.

“I think it is really difficult to play or adapt from different realities, but he is a phenomenal player,"

he said. "He has unbelievable potential. He has years and years to develop his game, so that expectation and investment from the club is based on that – a super player for the next seven or eight years."
