“When a player wonders during a game – ‘But what does the coach want me to do in this situation?’ – he begins to be less efficient. 

Especially at Manchester United, in a context where all matches are scrutinized by the media and where one can quickly be criticized from everywhere.”

In 2015-16 season for Louis Van Gaal, the midfielder made 39 appearances in all the competitions.

This January transfer window he joined the Everton side for £20 million.
