The 28 year old Argentine and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is backing his compatriot and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi to beat Cristiano Ronaldo and Antonio Griezmann for the FIFA best player award.
Aguero thinks his compatriot and national team captain Lionel Messi is the best on the world and he will be a condign winner of FIFA Men’s player of the year.
This season Cristiano Ronaldo won the FIFA Ballon d’Or award and it was his fourth time and the Barcelona man got the second spot in that award and the French international Antonio Grezmann got the third spot.
In January 9 Messi and Ronaldo will fight again for an egregious individual gong, together with Antonio Griezmann.
In 2016 the Argentine striker has scored 51 goals for his club and lifted the La Liga trophy for the eighth time n his career.
On the other hand Ronaldo taste the Champions league glory with Real Madrid and won the EUFA EURO with his nation for the first time and FIFA club world cup, and Griezmann’s help his club and country to reach to the Champions league final and to the EUFA EURO cup final where in both the times he face defeats from Ronaldo’s side.
According to Aguero, Messi is the deserving candidate to bucket the trophy.
Aguero voiced: “He’s ahead of the rest, including the other nominees.
“And I’m not just saying that because he’s my friend. I train with him and I see it with my own eyes. He does things I don’t see anyone else doing. He’s the best there is.
“He makes it look so easy. It’s incredible,
“Messi is the best in the world.”
Aguero also says about Messi's humble nature as how he is on the field and off the field.
He added: “You only have to say hello to Leo to realise what a good kid he is,”
“A lot of people don’t know that, because he doesn’t like to show it on TV or in public.
“He’s just an ordinary guy, though. He’s a good mixer and he cracks jokes just like any Argentinian. He gets on well with everyone and he’s as normal as they come.”
