Chelsea’s Belgian international player Eden Hazard has been heavily linked to a transfer. Reports say that in the upcoming transfer window, he will move to Santiago Bernabeu. However the decision is still clouded and nothing is clear.
Hazard has maintained his stance of “not working” on the Real Madrid move. However he hasn’t closed the door of a transfer away from Chelsea. Speculations of his transfer to the Spanish side has been there for some time now.
Hazard himself fueled some of it by wanting to test himself in La Liga conditions and his admiration for the Los Blancos. Eden’s Chelsea contract will end in 2020, due to which Madrid has stepped up to finalize the deal.
However in a recent interview with VTM Nieuws, Hazard has remained cryptic about his future. He insisted that no discussions regarding his Madrid tenure has been done. In the interview he said:
I’m not working on that right now. I want to shine with Chelsea for a few months and try to win the Europa League. This week I think about the Red Devils [Belgium] and then back to Chelsea. Then we’ll see.

Hazard firmly looks to avoid the debate of the transfer window. He now wants to end the testing 2018-19 season on a positive note. The Blues can win the Europa League and finish in top four of the Premier League. After achieving these targets Hazard might take a call on his future.
Eden added, “We can win the Europa League – we must win the Europa League, or finish in the top four to play in the Champions League next year. The supporters expect that, the staff expect that and the players expect that as well. When I am back at Chelsea I just think about that. I don’t think about what can happen in two, three, four, five months. I don’t know, we’ll see.”
Eden has said that the decision on his future will be made “soon”. Only time will say when the 28-year-old ends all the rumors and puts his decision on the future in front of everyone.
