"Paul needs the affection of journalists so he tries to do his best, to give everything for the team," Griezmann told reporters.
"He has a different game with Juventus or with Manchester now. He tries to play for the team and it takes time to do it.
"Yes [I think there is a lack of affection for him], because every game you ask a bit too much from him. He needs, like me, like the whole team, a little affection from time to time."
"We expect him to make the team play, not that he scores goals from 50 metres," he added. "He should be the playmaker of the team, not the scorer."
