And the Chennaiyin FC’s owner Abhishek Bachchan, who was also present in a football and business conference, as the UK Department for International Trade has recently organized the football and business conference together with India on Track on March 2nd and 3rd in Mumbai.
Where in an interview, the Bollywood superstar has admitted that once India adopts a single league, the football scene in the country will make rapid strides and also admits that in 10 years time India will be a competitive nation in the sport.
As Mr. Bachchan said, "When we genuinely play in the Asian Football Confederation Cup, there are going to be times when we will take on some of the big boys and might hopefully upstage them, that day isn't far away,"
He added, "When I made my entry into the ISL, I said, 'Give us 10 years and then you will be talking to a very competitive football nation. We are on our way to achieve that. And you never know, with the support from the Premier League, if we can absorb their knowledge, we can export some of our talent to the Premiership as well,"
