East Bengal: Red and Gold ready to give walk over in their first match?

The Kolkata Giants East Bengal can be forced to give a walkover in their first I league match against Aizawal Fc.

The Red and Golds maybe be forced to give a walkover against Aizawal Fc if they fail to organize a match I Salt Lake Stadium.

According to the, I league Schedule East Bengal will play their first match against the defending Champions on 28th November at  Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.

But prior to this match, ATK will play their home match against FC Goa in Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan. And according to the norms of the owners of the ground and the West Bengal Government a match can take place after a three-day interval of another match.

Now East Bengal officials have made a requested to the AIFF to shift the venue from Salt Lake Stadium to Barasat Stadium or to postpone the match by a day or two.

AIFF has stated that they are discussed these matter with the broadcasted Star Sports, and AIFF made it clear that it is possible to change the venue or date of the match, and If East Bengal fails to organize the match then their three points will be deducted and it will be awarded to the defending Champions Aizawal Fc.

East Bengal transferred this statement to the West Bengal Government to look after the matter.
