Delhi Dynamos FC will face tough battle against Northeast United in their first home match in the Indian Super League season 3 ,at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Delhi Dynamos has made a excellent start of their season 3 campaign so as the group leaders Northeast United,in their first match the Gianluca Zambrotta’s men beat the defending champions Chennaiyin FC by 3-1,noe they are sitting fourth in the table.
In the other side the Northeast United are sitting top at the table, in their four matches they manage to win three matches out of it and just one loss.
In the last two seasons the Delhi have the upper hand on paper after being unbeaten against them, in their previous meetings Delhi won two games and drew the rest of the games.
"We are really excited for our first home game of the season. We've had some really exciting matches with NorthEast United in the past and I'm sure that having our home crowd behind us will help. The boys are all ready for a good game of football and it will be a hard fought contest: Zambrotta said.
The Northeast United have a huge fan base on Delhi so the Italian hopes that it is important for their home fans to match up the level to their opponents.
"Of course, we need the Delhi supporters and I am handing them a special invitation to attend. We need their support. In Kerala we played the last match in front of 60,000 supporters and it was not intimidating. For the players, it's encouraging to play in front of a nice atmosphere,": the former AC Milan defender said.
Delhi have collected four points in their last two games, and their head coach thinks that it is important for them to maintain the balance.
