The Spain international and former FC Barcelona’s forward David Villa, who is currently playing for the New York City FC has recently admitted that his New York City FC’s team-mates Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo are legend and also admits that the Argentine ace Lionel Messi is only one who is the best in the world.

The former Spain international, who has scored 59 goals in his 97 appearances for his nation was the forward of the Spanish giant FC Barcelona, where he has made 77 appearances with 33 goals before he joined the Atletico Madrid in 2013.
And according to David Villa his former teammate and five time Ballon d’Or Lionel Messi is the only one, who is the best footballer ever in the world not the Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo, who has recently won his fourth Ballon d’Or on Monday night.
In his recent interview, the 35-year-old David Villa, who is currently playing for the New York City FC alongside Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo admitted that,
“It's fantastic to play with Lampard and Pirlo,”
“And MLS is not about veterans, they have many young players getting better and better. I think MLS is competitive enough.”
And Villa is in no doubt who the best player around is right now, despite Cristian Ronaldo landing the Ballon d’Or yet again, as he plumps for his former Barcelona team-mate Messi.
As he added,
“Messi, he's the best. The reason is simple. Because he is the best.”
