The Indian center back said he and his boys got not affected by the critisicm aimed at the former Indian manager Stephen Constantine.

In the recent past the British manager Stephen Constantine stepped down from his post after the Men In Blue faced a defeat against Bahrain in their third group game in Asia cup and got knocked out from the tournament.
It was a great emotional moment for the manager, who stays loyal to his post for the last four years and made debuts more than 49 players, including the Kerala Blasters man Sandesh Jhingan, under his regime team India climbed to FIFA ranking 100 from 170.
However the manager faced criticism from all the corner of India for his team selection in Asia cup and about his tactics but the defender believes under his tenure Indian football team has written a great era.
“We had a 13-game unbeaten run, we qualified for the Asian Cup, whatever he has done, the records and stats don’t lie.
“I have massive respect for him. I was on the bench for two years and when he came, he gave me my debut. It was a great era, the four years was a great period, we achieved a lot.
“Whatever we did, we all are proud of it. It has been a memorable journey. I wish him all the success for the future. I rather not have a say on the criticism, it is a peoples’ thing. We were not affected by that. Stephen is mentally so strong, he did not get affected by that,”
