The 24 year old Swiss international is with the German team since 2012 and so far for them he has made 157 appearances for them and also netted 20 goals for them.
The Arsenal side scouted him in the early transfer season but they fail to bring him to the Emirates Stadium last time and this season along with Arsenal the Chelsea side joins the race for him.
The Chelsea and Arsenal side are ready to pay 21m for the left back.
