Champions league rest is best for Ronaldo: Allegri

Football News: Due to his red card the Portuguese cannot take place in Juventus’s second Champions League match against Young Boys but the manager is ok with it.

No Ronaldo, No worry for Allegri.

The Old Lady manager Massimiliano Allegri believes that the enforced rest that has been incurred on Ronaldo will only benefit him.

Two week’s ago in his European debut with the Juventus the 33-year-old got engaged in an off-field incident with the Valencia defender Jeison Murillo and picked up the red card, because of that incident UEFA handed out him a one-match ban, and because of that, he will miss the match against Young Boys.

In place of Ronaldo, the Italian international Federico Bernardeschi can join Dybala and Mandzukic in the attack against Young Boys.

Allegri voiced: "Cristiano needed to rest because he has played so many games,"

"On Saturday he played with great intensity, his best match since being here.

"Dybala and Mandzukic will line up in attack tomorrow. Bernardeschi can play wide, inside or in the hole. I need to decide his involvement tomorrow.

"We must win tomorrow otherwise we would undo the good work of the win against Valencia."

Juventus will expect to secure all the three points against the Swiss champions as in their next two features will be back to back against the English giants Manchester United.
