Gianluigi Buffon the Juventus skipper is again in the  second Champions league final in three years and he is now just standing on the verge of winning the first ever Champions league trophy in his career.

Earlier in his prolonged career he has lost two Champions league final one in 2003 and in 2015 but this time the Italian legend is now touching distance away to claim his first ever Champions league trophy after his side reach to the final once again by defeating the Ligue 1 leaders Monaco side.

Buffon knows that his side is now has their work cut out for them as they are likely to face the La Liga giants Real Madrid and to make things a bit more stiff,

The History is more with Real Madrid than it is with Juvetnus as this two sides clashed 19 years ago in CL final and it was Real Madrid who came out on top.

As we know statistics never tells the whole story, and Buffon is very much optimistic about the fact that history  will change but he still remains nonchalant because he is not willing to celebrate until he gets his hand on the coveted trophy.

Buffon voiced: "It was damn difficult, regardless of winning 2-0 in the first leg. If we had come here tonight with an arrogant approach, we would have experienced some very difficult moments,"

"We still did, but when you've got the right mentality, you can overcome those obstacles.

"We are in the final, but now reaching the final counts for nothing.

"I am very happy, because I've got here in good shape and if I wasn't in a big club and with great team-mates, I would never have come back into the Champions League final.

"Two years ago everyone assumed it was my last Champions League final, and I thought that too, but you have to keep believing in your dreams."
