And the Shillong Lajong FC’s head coach Thangboi Singto wants his young team to take this opportunity to challenge themselves and put up a good show against one of the biggest team in the I-League, who are also the defending champions of the league.
According to the Shillong Lajong FC’s head coach Thangboi Singto Bengaluru FC are one of the best sides going around not just in Indian football but also in all of Asia and to play against them is a privilege.
As in an interview Singto said, "It's a privilege to be playing Bengaluru FC. They are one of the best sides going around not just in Indian football but also in all of Asia, and this will be a good test of character for our boys,"
"They have some of the best Indian players and foreigners as well, and this match will help us understand what the areas we need to improve in are."
The 42-year-old Manipuri man Thangboi Singto, who took over as head coach of the Shillong-based team in 2013 and wants his young side to show that they have grown as individuals and as a team.
As Singto added, “It's a new season, with a lot of thoughts swirling about regarding Indian football. We have a young, dynamic team and hopefully they will show that they have grown as individuals and as a team,"
