The Barcelona left back accolades about his team’s overall performance against Manchester United after they took the advantage from the first leg at Old Trafford.

Last night Barcelona not at their usual free flowing attacking best against the Red Army but yet Jordi Alba believes that they have defended well their solo goal at United’s fort.

Luke Shaw’s won goal which get deflected from Luis Suarez’s header in the United net proved to be the decided between the two sides which saw Barcelona just enlist three shots on target in the match.

On the other hand, United on their home turf did not manage to shoot anything on target and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have it all to do in the second leg at Camp Nou.

The full back admitted that they would have liked a bigger advantage to take back to Spain but they are Pleased with the win.

He stated: “It was a balanced game with a couple of well-organised sides,”

“On the attack, we also played some good football. The result is a bit tight but scoring away and not conceding is good for us.

“We were fluent in the build-up. We can be happy as it is not easy to win here. We have to play the second leg but now we have the lead.”

It a quite night for the Argentine star Lionel Messi thought he still provides the cross towards Luis Suarez which led the goal for Barcelona.
