Barca: Chelsea made Barca Suffer- Valverde

Football News- Barca

The Blaugrana gaffer made a very controversial/ sarcastic comment when he said “ Chelsea made Barcelona suffer” about last night’s game of Barca against the Blues in the Champions League round of 16 games at Camp Nou.

Last night at Catalan giants completely stampeded the English giants to qualify for the next round in a sort of dull encounter where Barca whiskered past Chelsea by 3-0, and the total aggregate was 4-1 as Barca manage the draw at Stamford Bridge in the first leg.

Barca started the second leg as the favourite and how well they prove that statement when they punished Chelsea with 3-0 goals with the arguably the modern god of football Lionel Messi scoring a brace out of those three goals, and join the elite league of players who has 100 goals in the UEFA Champions league under their belt, and the French national Ousmane Dembele scored  the other as Barca paved their way to a comfortable victory.

After that match, the Barca manager voiced: "We suffered a lot in this game because they were pressing really hard and creating a lot of danger,"

"They showed they were a great team with great players and we were lucky enough to knock them out.

"I have to admit they have been a great rival, a great team. It's been a very difficult tie, both legs.

"I think we scored with the first chance we had."

About the peerless Messi, Valverde added: "That goes with Messi's personality, the sense of responsibility that he has," he said. "He knows in certain moments stars have to come out. He forces himself to do that.

"There's no guarantee that he's going to score but he is a fantastic player. We enjoy him.

"We're lucky enough to be seeing something that will go down in history."
