The Chief Executive officer of Atletico Madrid admitted that his side would love to see the 26 year old goalkeeper to join the Real Madrid side.

The 26 year old goalkeeper has joined the Red Devils side back in 2011 with a British record fee for a goalkeeper, and in the last season he was heavily linked to move to Real Madrid.

Last year he was within a minutes of moving to the Real Madrid side but in the last moment the exchange deal with Keylor Navas  downfall and the move could not get possible and De Gea signed a new deal with the Manchester United side.

Now the Real Madrid side is focusing on the Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, he  was also played  his part for Atletico in the past season, but the Atletico side hopes Madrid’s De Gea link would  rekindled and the club would earn money from any transfer.

The Executive added: "I would not feel bad if Madrid signed Courtois, but I would love to have De Gea sign up because we own five per cent of the [sell-on fee],"

"Courtois is a great professional and a great guy and I wish him well but I think he should stay at Chelsea.

"It would not be a betrayal [to Atletico], I do not think the fans would feel that way."

He also added that the Real Madrid side never looks for Gimenez, but he told that they made a enquiry about the Real striker Alvaro Morata.

He added: "Madrid never asked us about Jose Gimenez, we did ask ourselves this summer about Morata."
