ATLETICO PRESIDENT: ANTONIO GRIEZMANN WON’T LEAVE ATLETICO MADRID

 The Atletico Madrid president dismissed the report about their star man Griezmann says that he will not leave them, and also says that the Premier league club Manchester United is a small team.

The Manchester United side is trying to hijack the Atletico Madrid star man Antonio Griezmann in this summer and they are willing to pay £85m for the French superstar.

The 25 year old French superstar has signed a new contact with the Spanish giants in this season and he has now tied up with them until 2021, but still there were rumors that the Manchester Unite side are trying  to rope him to the Old Trafford this season.

Enrique Cerezo, the president of Atletico Madrid slammed the rumors that their star man could leave their club.

On an interview the President said: "Manchester United?"

And by jokingly he added: "Small team.

He further added: "I believe in the contracts that people sign, that goes for [Diego] Simeone and Griezmann."

"Every time I see Antoine I give him a hug,"

"Antoine is a fantastic player and loves life at Atletico."

This season, the French striker has scored 15 goals so far in his 31 appearances for the Ateltico side in all competitions.

This season Manchester United is still sitting at the sixth spot on the table and they are battling to find a spot on the top four on the table,

While the Spanish side Atletico Madrid is facing a transfer ban from FIFA, and they cannot buy anyone if Griezmann leave them.

The football pundit Terry Gibson from Sky sports added: "We have to look at where [Atletico] finish this season as well, whether they finish outside of the Champions League spots – I don't think they will be.

"It's a big ask for Manchester United to try and qualify for the Champions League, I know that didn't deter Paul Pogba but I don't think it's cut and dried."
