Napoli signed Arkadiusz Milik for £32million from Ajax.
The Poland international moved to the Serie A side from Eredivisie giants and was put before fans on Monday as they were waiting to witness the higly-anticipated signing.
Napoli wanted a forward for their team after they let go Gonzalo
Higuain to Juventus and now they found Milik to complete their team. Milik was in the top list of Rozwoj Katowice youth academy and he also represented Gornik Zabrze, Bayer Leverkusen and Augsburg before he moved to Ajax in 2014.
The Poland international played 52 games from Eredivisie netting 32
goals. And became Napoli's third signing this summer after Lorenzo
Tonelli and Emanuele Giaccherini.
"Arek did a great job at Ajax, his goals-per-game ratio says it all. I
can only give our scouting team a compliment for bringing him to our attention. We were keen to hold on to him, but we were talking about completely different transfer fees when we agreed that Arek would not leave. The transfer window is open for another month, so that gives us the opportunity to sign an adequate replacement." told Marc Overmars, football director of Ajax.
