Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker avouched the Arsenal want their star forward Sanchez to stay though his contract nearing its end.
The veteran Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker believes Sanchez will definitely remain with the Arsenal for the upcoming season.
In the beginning of this season, there are rumors are lurking in the air that Sanchez will leave Arsenal in this season and he can join Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the next season.
Questioned asked to Per Mertesacker, whether Sanchez will be at the Emirates in the next season or not?
The veteran defender voiced: "Yes, definitely.
"We have a strong squad and we do not want to lose any players.
"Even in their final contract year, we need them. We cannot afford to lose them. If you're talking about championships, to keep our best player is key."
Mertesacker also said the Chilean star is keen to get back to Arsenal after the confederation cup.
Mertesacker added: "I think he was impressive in the Confederations Cup,"
"He's now on holiday, so it's quiet in terms of conversations.
"But he's a warrior on the pitch. I think he wants to come back as quickly as possible – he hates holidays, he hates to calm down.
"I'm looking forward to playing alongside him in my last season and he thinks the same."
