The 39 year old former Mahindra United takes the responsibility of AIZAWL FC for the upcoming I LEAGUE.
Next year from January 7 th I league will began and for that the Mizoram based club roped the former Mahindra United midfielder as their new head coach.
The 39 year old former Indian international leave Mumbai FC after his seven years of regime there and he joined the AIZAWL FC as their new head coach.
The Mizoram based club sacked their former coach Manuel Retamero Fraile the Spaniard in the intermediate of 2016.
In the 2nd division of I league the Aizawl Fc will take part after they were finish at 8th in the last season with DSK Shivajians somehow they escape the relegations through commercial redemption.
The former Indian international played the I league tournament in his earlier career with Air India and Mahindra United and experienced the tournament as a coach with Mumbai FC.
He left his former club Mumbai FC in the last year after they were knocked out from the Federation Cup last season.
The Aizawl FC owner told in a interview: "It is a matter of pride that we have such an experienced I-League manager heading Aizawl FC. All we can hope is that our club excels leaps and bounds under him. We have contracted him for just one season but both sides are willing for an extension beyond 2017,"
On 7th January on the opening day of the I league the Aizawl FC will start the tournament against Kolkata giants East Bengal FC.
