After evaluation the bid evaluation committee, has decided to go for a fresh round of tendering and the All India Football Federation reopen the tendering process to welcome fresh teams in Hero I-League next season.

The committee, which comprised of Mr. Kushal Das, General Secretary, AIFF, Mr. Subrata Dutt, Senior Vice President, AIFF and Mr. Sunando Dhar, CEO, I-League, evaluated and discussed at length about the three bids from Minerva Academy FC, FC Bardez Goa and Chennai City FC who has wholeheartedly shown the interest to play in the upcoming season of the Hero I-League.
In the meeting held in the AIFF Football House on November 23, 2016, the Bid Evaluation Committee has suggested to open the tendering process once again today (November 25, 2016) and the process will be open until December 8, 2016.
As the Mr. Dhar, CEO, I-League said in an interview with the www.the-aiff.com.
"The interesting parties can submit their bid on or before December 8, 2016, and the Bid Evaluation Committee will meet once again on December 11, 2016, to take a final call on the submitted bids."
