Five Players Who Might Not Play the 2019 World Cup

3. Shakib Al Hasan

The Bangladeshi all-rounder would be extremely upset if he misses out on the World Cup. The 31-year-old has performed extremely well in this year and has worked extremely hard.

From the 12 ODIs he played, he has scored 402 runs at an average of 37 and has also picked up 18 wickets. Apart from lending stability to the middle order, he gives his captain a luxury to go in with an extra batsman.

But luck might not favour him because of the finger injury which he had received during the final of the tri-nation series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. He aggravated the injury more by taking part in the Asia Cup, which he eventually left midway through the tournament.

Although the pus has been removed, yet the infection is still on which is preventing him to go under the knife as it might damage his entire hand. Hence the injury has kept his chance of participation in the World Cup under clouds.
