When we lose it’s completely our fault: Jamil

The Mohun Bagan coach backed his player after they digest a defeat against East Bengal yesterday.

Jamil takes all the blame on him.

Last day at Salt Lake stadium Mohun Bagan succumbed another Kolkata derby against their eternal rivals East Bengal by 2-0 goals.

Jaime Santos Colado and Jobby Justin scored the goals for East Bengal in the first and in the second half to end the titles hopes for Mohun Bagan.

During the match there were few controvertial decision made by the match officials, but Jamil refused on comment on that.

He stated: “I never complain about the referee. When we lose, it’s completely my fault. The linesman gave it offside. I couldn’t see as I was far away from the situation. Will have to see again.”

Yuta Kinowaki, the Japanesse midfielder just got injured before the kick off and Henry Kisekka replaced him at the last moment.

On Yuta he said: “Anything can happen in football. Yuta (Kinowaki) might have influenced the game but who knows.”

“I don’t think Kingsley’s performance was bad. If he was out of form, I wouldn’t have played him.”
