Ravichandran Ashwin Clears Fitness Test and Will Be Available At Trent Bridge

It seems that the problems for team India does not want to end soon. They are already 0-2 down in the series and their captain Virat Kohli is suffering from a lower back injury.

Cricket news: The player got hit twice on his right hand while batting in the second Test at Lord’s

However some problems are slowly ending as their spinner Ravi Ashwin was deemed fit for the next game after their pacer Jasprit Bumrah was declared fit by the medical team.

On the fourth day of the Lord’s Test while India was batting in the second innings, Ashwin was hit multiple times on his finger.

The ball was bouncing up from the good length area and hit the batsman on the right hand twice. Both the times it was seen that the off-spinner was grimacing with pain and had to be attended by the physio.

There were some concerns about his availability for the do-or-die game at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. However the medical team has cleared him and now he will feature in the third Test.

It was very crucial for him to remain fit as he batted well in tough conditions at Lord’s and was the best batsman for India in terms of runs scored. India will surely need his all-round abilities in order to make a comeback in the series.

India’s skipper Virat Kohli seemed confident of him getting fit ahead of the third Test, but there are still questions arising of his unavailability.

Kohli has been the highest run-getter in this series till now, with 240 runs from 4 innings. He is closely followed by England’s Jonny Bairstow who has scored 193 runs.

It will be interesting to see how Indian fragile batting copes up if Kohli does not feature in the third Test as India have crossed 250 twice in 10 innings overseas and in both the times, Kohli has scored 153 and 149.
