Cricket’s mega event, the ICC Cricket World Cup, comes after every four years. This year the 2019 edition of the tournament will be held at England and Wales. The tourney will begin from 30 May and will end on 14 July.

It would be a big opportunity for England to taste World Cup success on their home turf. The fact becomes more evident as both India and Australia won the 2011 and 2015 World Cup respectively in home conditions.

The mega tournament of cricket is known to unearth many new players. These players become heroes for their team and later legends for their nation. As of now it seems that players like Virat Kohli, Thisara Perera, Jos Butler and Trent Boult might become heroes.

During the course of the tournament many records would be made and many would be shattered. On the other hand this tournament might witness some of the veterans of the sport for the last time. This list includes names like Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor and MS Dhoni.

World Cup is a place which many players choose to show their final fight before taking their shoes off. This also happened in the previous 2015 edition. Many players called it a day after that tournament ended. As a result they will not be a part of the 2019 edition.
