In this 2017-18 season the Argentine ace could take on a deeper role for Barcelona, but the Barcelona defender Pique has no qualms about the dynamic influence on his side.
The Spanish midfielder Gerard Pique believes Barcelona can adapt to a new style if Lionel Messi plays in a deeper role for them in the upcoming season.
The new Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde will go with 3-4-3 with the Catalan side, and that leads Messi to play as a playmaker; Pique believes that can go smooth for them.
In an interview with Goal Pique said: "We all get older and our physical qualities go down, it's something that happens to every player when time goes on, there are players who feel it more than others but we all try to adapt our style,”
Pique’s other club team-mates Neymar and Arda Turan was also in that event and they all are optimistic that under the new coach they can taste the glory in the upcoming season.
Arda voiced: "I remember him at Bilbao, he has a good character, when they played against us they always played well and had a powerful team,”
“I know he is a good trainer and now we are going to see him at the highest level.”
Neymar voiced: “I agree with Arda but I don't personally know the new coach, I have heard lots of good things about him.”.
