The Paris Saint Germain manager is optimistic that their record signing can pull up a historic performance against the Spanish giants in the Champions League round of 16.
Paris Saint Germain gaffer Unai Emery backed Neymar to help PSG to come back from the 3-1 deficit against Bayern Munich when both the sides will face each other on the return fixture at Paris.
After the first leg, Neymar came into criticism, and in that match, PSG was leading by one goal against Madrid, but they gave away their position easily and conceded three goals and gave the Spanish giants the dominance in the knockout tie.
But Emery is hopeful that the Brazilian will step up on the plate in the second leg at Parc De Princes.
The Paris Saint Germain manager said: "He played a great game in my opinion,"
"He did a lot of great things in order to change the dynamic of the game.
"If he can improve ahead of this great game [in the second leg], the small details that I'm sure he can improve on here at home, he'll show everyone how good he is."
After that first leg, he faced criticism for his behavior and former Brazilian star Walter Casagrande is in an absolute shock after watching his behavior against Madrid, and he believes that Neymar’s behavior can hurt Brazil in the world cup 2018.
In an interview, the former Brazilian star says: "It bothers me that most fans and media are still patting Neymar on the back,"
"He has already shown several inappropriate behaviors within a team. Against Real, he took a yellow in the first half and could have been sent off in the second.
"It would be disastrous if he acted like that at the World Cup. We are creating a monster, which some consider a genius.
Neymar’s father hits back to those people who criticized Neymar’s performance against Madrid and in a social media site he wrote who are criticizing his son, they were like Vultures.
