The Liverpool left-back Milner avouched that he will feel sick if his side fails to qualify for the next year’s Champions league.

In their last match against Southampton Milner missed a spot kick against the Southampton side and the match ended 0-0 after the final whistle.

That match result was a drawback for the Liverpool side and that could affect them in their Top four finish but still tight now they are sitting at the third position of the table.

In an interview, Milner said: "How would we feel if we miss out? Sick,"

"This is a team and a club that needs to be in the Champions League. We will be in Europe but the Champions League is where everyone wants to play.

"There was a lot riding on the Southampton game and I have to take the responsibility for missing the penalty. Hopefully we will get a bit of luck and finish the job. We have made improvements this year and we know where we need to improve again.

"We have shown on any one day we can beat anyone so if we could get in the Champions League we know we could be a match for anyone. We have got to do it consistently."

Right now they are on the third on the table with 70points and Manchester City sits just behind them with 69 points, points and Manchester Unite points and the Arsenal side is on 63 points but all of them played one less match than the Liverpool side.

He added: "You look at the results all season. We have dropped points where you might not expect us to and there have been some disappointing games,"

"We do that job better and we are fighting for the title, never mind fighting to get into the top four.

"That is disappointing and we know it is an area we need to improve."
