The Argentina side will appeal Messi’s four-match ban and Messi’s former coach thinks it is too much.

The Former Barcelona and Argentina coach Cesar Luis Menotti thinks that Messi’s four-match ban is nonsense.

Argentina’s previous match against Chile they defeated them by 1-0  goals but in a video, FIFA found out that the Argentine captain waving his arm and insulting match officials Marcelo Van Gass at the closing stage of the match and because of that they handed Messi a four-match ban.

Because of his action, he got penalized and got a four matches ban.
After this incident, the former Argentina coach Menotti thinks that it is excessive.

Menotti said: "I think four matches is nonsense,"

. "What Messi did was not that serious.

"There are actions that are ill-intended and sometimes they only give them [a ban for] two matches.

"This was something verbal. The sanction is exaggerated."

Because of this Messi will miss Argentina’s match against Bolivia and Uruguay, Venezuela and Peru in the next season.

Instead of Messi Angel Correa will start for Argentina with there are many others players are there on the list who are depleted by bans and injuries.
