This season the Indian super league giants Kerala Blaster have signed the Prolific Dimitri Berbatov as their marquee player for the upcoming season of ISL.

The former Manchester United striker has avouched that in this upcoming Indian super league season he will not play as a striker for the Kerala Blasters side.

The 36 year old Bulgarian has opined that: "I will continue to play soccer in India and I want to justify the expectations of all people. I can not even see myself as a striker, I'm going to be a midfielder, show the young guys, wait for interviews, in my time there I'm going to popularize football."

The former premier league golden boot winner plays his last football with the Greek side PAOK in 2016.

After that he thinks at this age he did not have the instinct to be a front man for the Kerala Blasters side and Berbatov decides that in this upcoming Indian super league season he will operate from the Midfield for the Kerala Blasters side.

Also, the former EPL star has a diploma degree in Management and that indicates what could be his next profession, and he wishes to learn many things from the Kerala Blasters New head coach Rene Meulensteen.
