Indian skipper Virat Kohli is always known for hogging the limelight. Whatever he does always finds a way to the hands of the media. This is obvious as he is the captain of a sport which is treated as a religion in the country.

He enthralls his fans with his beautiful cricket on the field. Kohli often gets in the news for the right reasons. But he recently received heavy backlash from the cricket-obsessed nation.

On Thursday a terrorist attacked in the Pulwama region of the country. In the attack more than 40 CRPF personnel were martyred. The terrorists attacked a convoy with a car bomb at Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Since the attack in Uri, this terrorist attack is considered the worst. Reports from the media suggested that the vehicle used for the attack was a Mahindra Scorpio. The car carried more than 350 kg of explosives.

On one hand the entire nation was mourning over the loss of their beloved sons. On the other the 30-year-old cricketer asked his fans to follow clubs for the upcoming Indian Sports Honours. The tweet was totally ill-timed with regard to current scenario. As a result the entire country berated him for the unpleasant tweet.
