Inter manager Luciano Spelatti claimed that the Argentine forward has ruled himself out of training following the club’s Europa league clash against Frankfurt.
Icardi snubbed Inter training session by his choice.
According to the Inter medical stuff Mauro Icardi is now ready to train with the club but the former captain said he will tell them when he feels he is ready to play.
The Argentine attacker did not play for the Italian giants till he got stripped off from the captaincy and got replaced by the goalkeeper Samir Handanovic amid ambiguity over his future with the Milan giants.
The Inter man asked for some respect from the club and he explained his knee pain problem after he missed their Europa league match against Rapid Vienna on Feb 13th, though the Nerazzurri side could not identify any problem.
And last night the predator was missed their match once against the German side Frankfurt where the end as a goalless draw in the first leg.
In the post match, question asked about Icardi, and the Manager said: “The truth is that we asked Mauro if he felt like resuming training.
“The doctor said that in his view the necessary period for treatment had terminated. He replied: ‘No, I still feel pain. I’ll tell you when I feel ready to play’.
“I acknowledged what he said and went back home. The director [Beppe Marotta] will tell you the rest.”
The Argentine is tied up with Inter Milan till 2021, and in this season so far he has made 28 appearances for them and scored 15 goals, but not played for them since February 9th where Inter claim their victory over Parma.
Right now he has been linked with clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona,Napoli, Juventus.
On this Wednesday the Inter board and the players are called for a cordial meeting, with the club announcing it on Social media.
In Social media they posted: “Inter’s Sport CEO Giuseppe Marotta today held a cordial meeting with Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara in search of a solution to satisfy the best interests of all involved.”
