According to the former Real Madrid’s coach, the Portuguese international and Real Madrid hotshot Cristiano Ronaldo, who has already scored 376 goals in his 366 appearances for the Spanish giant can keep playing at the top level for at least another three years and thinks the superstar deserves just as much credit as the Argentine and FC Barcelona’s ace Lionel Messi.
Recently the 31-year-old forward has won his fourth Ballon d’Or after helping the Real Madrid and Portugal to Champions League and Euro 2016 glory respectively in the last 12 months.
And most importantly the star forward has already scored 10 LaLiga goals already this term, which made the Bayern Munich head coach Carlo Ancelotti to believe that the 2016 Ballon d’Or winner still has a lot left in the tank and can keep playing at the top level for at least another three years,
As in an interview with AS,
"I don't know when he'll keep going until, but I don't think he's that old,"
"Playing in a more advanced position could have an influence. He's now playing more centrally and with time he'll have to drop deep less often and stay in a more advanced position."
"I think he'll keep up this high level for three or four years."
On winning the 2016 Ballon d’Or, he added,
"I think it's deserved, because Ronaldo won the Champions League and the European Championships,"
"He's performed better than the rest this year and the award is a logical one."
"For many this is the era of Messi, but it's also the era of Cristiano. The competition between them has improved them. Messi is better because he's had Cristiano, and Cristiano is better because he's had Messi."
