Cristiano Ronaldo Opens Juventus Account Just After Eight Minutes

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo did not waste much time to present himself in the Bianconeri shirt as he opened his account under 10 minutes of his debut.

Football news: Ronaldo did not disappoint as he scored with an emphatic finish against Juve’s Primeravera youths

After the 2018 World Cup he had taken an extended leave before finally being unveiled to his fans on Sunday friendly against the club’s Primavera side.

The match is a traditional curtain-raiser for the Turin-based side which gives the opportunity for potential first team players to test themselves against the hopeful youths of the club.

Ronaldo did not show any rustiness as he latched on to Federico Bernadeschi’s long pass and beat the offside trap and blasted home having got an one-to-one situation with the opposition goalie just eight minutes into the game.

He also played a part during the second goal as a low cross came into the box and Ronaldo’s pressure forced youngster Ricardo Capellini to score past his own goalkeeper.

Argentinian star Paulo Dybala scored a brace and his second goal was a tap-in after opposition goalie Loria failed to keep hold to Ronaldo’s initial effort.

The 33-year-old was substituted during the break but before that an over-affectionate fan ran on to the pitch and locked him in an embrace which required two stewards to take control of the situation.

Juventus extended the lead to 5-0 in the early second half as the traditional pitch invasion brought the game to a close in the 70th minute.

Along with Ronaldo, new signings in the likes of Emre Can and the returning Leonardo Bonucci were also present during the warmup game.

The upfront trio of Ronaldo, Dybala and Douglas Costa will surely produce plenty of goals for the Old Lady as the Serie A season gets underway.
