On Monday, the I league defending champions Bengaluru FC have announced their new signing of Serbian striker Marjan Jugovic in a bid to add some much-needed boost in their attack.

After releasing the Honduras international Honduran Roby Norales early this month, the Bangalore based I league giant has signed the 33-year-old Serbian striker Marjan Jugovic to fill the slot of the fourth foreigner.

And it is seems like the Serbian man will be a big boost for the struggling Bengaluru FC side as the forward comes with the experience of having played in the Europa League and the AFC Champions League. 

INDIAN FOOTBALL NEWS:

Widely traveled, the Serbian man Marjan Jugovic has turned out for clubs in Poland, Syria, Iceland and Indonesia and last played for Lebanese club Al-Akhaa Al-Ahli Aley since 2015, where he scored 18 goals in 31 appearances for the club.

And the Bengaluru FC coach Albert Roca also hoping for a good quality of play from the Serbian forward, as after confirming the signing, Roca said, "We hope the arrival of Marjan will add impetus to our attacking department,"

Roca added, "He's tall, a proper target man and has very handy experience gathered across continents. We have been creating so many chances but have struggled to put them away and Marjan's got his task cut out. I'm sure he will help get our season back on track."

The Serbian forward Jugovic will wear the No. 36 shirt for the I league Champions and said he was pleased on signing with Bengaluru FC.

As after arriving in the city on Friday, Marjan Jugovic said, "I'm very happy to join a big club in India and one that's famous across Asia too. I hope to help the team have a successful finish to the season and will be giving my 100% to the fans, my teammates and the club. I was at the stadium on Saturday and saw the passion of the fans and I'm very excited to play for them,"
