3 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore Should Target In the 2019 IPL Auction

The auction date of the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League has been announced and it would be held On December 18 in Jaipur. The tournament would begin from March 29 in the next year.

Although there would be only 70 players for grabs, the franchises would however love to contest for them and make use of their remainder of the purse and fill the empty slots.

A good number of reputed players along with some new faces would be there in the auction and the franchises would like to rope in the players and make their squad strong. One of the under-performing teams of the tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would also like to make the most of the opportunities in the auction.

Here is the list of three players who might be picked up by the RCB franchise:

1. Luke Ronchi

The 37-year-old Kiwi wicketkeeper-batsman has quit international cricket after playing 85 ODIs and 32 T20Is. But currently he is one of the most consistent performers in franchise cricket.

Ronchi bagged the Man of the Tournament award in Pakistan Super League (PSL). After that he carried on his good performance in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), where he scored 243 runs in 12 matches.

Ronchi can be an invaluable edition to Virat Kohli’s team as he is also an active campaigner behind the stumps. As RCB has released Brendon McCullum, they can now bid for Ronchi, which would give an extra variety to their batting and will also give an extra wicket-keeping option.
