Former Madrid star who played alongside the Wales wizard in his time at Tottenham believes that Premier league life would have been easier for Bale than La Liga life.
The Dutchman suggests Bale to return to EPL.
While Gareth Bale’s future is in doubt at Madrid, the former PL star man Raphael Van Der Vaart contemplates that return to England either in Tottenham or in Manchester United would have been best for Bale.
Right now the Wales international is approaching to complete his sixth season with the Spanish giants, and in this tenure he has won four Champions league crown, one La Liga title with the Madrid side and also scored more than 100 goals for them.
In the last few seasons he has struggled with his injury and form and right now he has been asked by the Madrid manager to play a crucial for them off the bench.
The trumours of his unsettlement in Madrid has been played down by his agent, but in the recent time, the Madrid winger has faced an indictment of ostracising himself.
The Dutchman who played side by side with Gareth Bale at Sprus between 2010 to 2012 stated: I am a little surprised at what is happening at Real Madrid with Gareth Bale.
“He is a very good player, he is not Cristiano [Ronaldo] or [Lionel] Messi, he is not a regular, he always plays well and there is more pressure than at Tottenham. I think that’s a problem for him.
“Going to succeed in another place? It may be best but I think he wants to stay at Real Madrid and play more.
“But a team like United or a return to Tottenham could be better for him because people in England are different to those in Spain.”
Bale is tied up with Real Madrid till 2022, and in many transfer windows he has seen he got linked with many other clubs got mooted.
