Constantine resigns from his position

The Englishman step down from his position after he failed to guide India to the knock out stages of AFC Asian cup 2019.

Constantine resigned amid of Asian cup elimination.

Stephen Constantine has put his paper down as a head coach of the Blue Tigers after they lost their match against Bahrain and got crashed out from the Asian cup.

Team India needed a draw against Bahrain to get a point and move to the next round for the first time in their history but they gave away a spot in the 89th minutes and that thwarted this opportunity, Jamal Rashed gave the counterpart all the three points in the dying moments.

And just after the defeat the Indian head coach decide to leave his post.

The former Indian manager voiced: “I have been here for four years. My objective from day one was to qualify for the Asian Cup and we have done that,”

“I am exceptionally proud of the players for everything that they have given. I thank the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Kushal Das, Praful Patel and Abhishek Yadav for the support that they have given me.

“I think my cycle is finished. I did what I was asked. It is time for me to move on.”

This time team India has started their Asian cup campaign in a fantastic fashion , defeating Thiland by 4-1 goals in their opening match, but defeat against UAE and Bahrain got them eliminated from the tournament.
