Sanchez ready for Leading Role in United : Solskjaer

Alexis Sanches has taken a big step forward in his Manchester United Career . The ManU boss believes a goal against his former team Arsenal in Friday’s FA Cup clash has proven his worth in the team.

After joining United from Arsenal last January , Sanchez has struggled to keep his form and fitness. But during the FA Cup clash against his old club , he provided a match winning display . Sanchez scored the first goal in the visitors’ 3 – 1 victory.

United’s caretaker Boss was highly impressed with Sanchez’s capabilities and attitude towards his game. The Chilean forward’s attitude in training has given him hope. He believes Sanches is ready to play a leading role in United’s Season.

You try to sit him down and speak to him but he’s a really hard-working, proud man, and he is really determined to prove his worth  He has been fantastic since I came. His work rate in training has been brilliant.

Solskjaer also stated :

Unfortunately, he has had the injuries, but I think [Friday] is a big, big step forward for him.

However, Solskjaer also said just because Sanchez earns £391,000 per week will not get any kind of special treatment for his drop in form. Because according to him , all player are same in the dressing room and everybody has to prove their worth.

He said :

Everyone gets treated the same, because when you come in and you are looking around the dressing room and there are so many good players you have to prove your worth.

You don’t just live off the price tag. I am not interested in what they have cost or what they are earning. What I am interested in is what they can give the team. But he does really want to be part of it.

The former united striker advised his players not to get complacent . As once something is done it is past and nobody wants to look backward . Currently , they are preaparing for Burnley’s Visit to Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Solskjaer said :

We’re just looking onwards and upwards and to the next game. Tuesday is going to be massive for us. At home in the Premier League, we’re expected to win.

After a big win like this, complacency is maybe our biggest danger. But looking at these players, I don’t think that will happen.
