Shikhar Dhawan the opener for team India earned the Man of the Series award in the recently concluded 3 match Test series against Sri Lanka for his 358 runs knock combining the 3 tests which includes 2 hundreds as well

With this he reached up to the milestone of his career best ICC test ranking to the 29th position moving ahead by 10 position in the list where he was at the 39th position before the start of the series

KL Rahul also moved 2 places up in the ICC ranking table and currently he is being placed at the 9 spot which earlier was at number 11 as the latest media release on Tuesday

Hardik Padya also smashed a 86-ball hundred at Pallekele – his maiden one in first-class cricket – jumped 45 places to reach 68th position, while Mohammed Shami – up one place and Umesh Yadav – up one place, too moved up the ladder.

Jadeja’s replacement for the Pallekele Test, Kuldeep Yadav and Sri Lanka’s Lakshan Sandakan made big leaps to improve their rankings. While Kuldeep moved up 29 slots – now at 58th position, Sandakan gained 16 places to end up on 57th.

In the Test team rankings, there was no change for both the sides as India remain atop, while Sri Lanka continued to languish at seven. India by virtue of their 3-0 win gained two points to move to 125 points and extended their lead over South Africa by 15 points.

It will be very interesting to see the ODI series as well because it will also effect the points radar to a lot extent, and with some players joining during the ODIs it will hard for them to cope up the environment and go with the teams flow
