
India’s brilliant win against Australia in the 2nd ODI in Nagpur has left everyone pleased. From the fans to the team management, everyone is extremely delighted with the performance.
Just months before the World Cup, the second ranked team in ODIs has proved their credentials yet again. Skipper Virat Kohli was so impressed that he took to Twitter to praise the team. He did this just minutes after the match ended.
The skipper was once again led the team from the front. In a pitch where everyone failed, Kohli notched his 40th ODI ton. His sublime knock of 116 helped India from collapse and post a challenging total of 250.
All-rounder Vijay Shankar (46) helped Kohli, as the duo recovered India from 75 for 3 with their 81-run partnership. Towards the end, Ravindra Jadeja and Kohli stitched a 67-run stand too.

The Men in Yellow started their innings on a good note, as they posted 83 runs without losing a wicket. But spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Kedar Jadhav dismissed the Aussie openers in quick succession.
From then the match swung in both ways with Australia needing 11 in the last over. Vijay Shankar gave just two runs and dismissed half-centurion Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa. As a result India won the match superbly by 8 runs.
With the win India extended their winning run over the Aussies in Nagpur. This is the fourth time India defeated Australia in Nagpur. Both the teams will next face on March 8 in Ranchi.
Meanwhile Virat Kohli took to Twitter to praise the excellent effort from the whole team. The 30-year-old wrote, “Stellar performances, exceptional teamwork!”
