So far Kohli has scored 39 ODI centuries. He is now just 11 centuries short from breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar. However Kohli holds another century record which the great Tendulkar doesn’t have.

Kohli is the only cricketer to score a century in his debut World Cup match. It happened in the 2011 World Cup against Bangladesh. He played a gem of an innings by scoring 100 runs in 83 balls.

His innings helped India get to a winning start in the historic World Cup campaign. Kohli’s century was followed by Virender Sehwag’s stunning knock of 175.
