Here are some records which Kohli has achieved in ODI cricket but Tendulkar couldn’t:
500 runs in a single bilateral ODI series
Kohli is the only batsman to have scored 500 or more runs in a bilateral ODI series. He managed this extraordinary feat when he scored 558 runs in 2018 India’s Tour of South Africa.
Kohli scored those runs at a staggering average of 186.00, and those runs included three centuries. As a result of his phenomenal consistency, India won the historic ODI series in South Africa.
On the other hand, Tendulkar couldn’t even manage to breach the 400-run mark. The closest he went was scoring 374 runs against England when India toured there in 2007. He managed three fifties and scored at an average of 53.43.
