2. Becoming India’s most successful Test captain

Currently Kohli’s predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni is India’s most successful Test captain. MSD has 27 Test wins from captaining in 60 Tests. However the Delhi-born player isn’t far from his great predecessor.
In fact Kohli is just two Tests away from getting this record. Kohli has captained in 46 Tests and has won 26 of them. The numbers also show that Kohli has the highest winning percentage (58.69) as an Indian captain (minimum five Tests as captain).
Kohli’s best Test series as the captain happened recently when India defeated Australia 2-1 away from home. It was India’s first Test victory Down Under and hence it was historic. With India’s current form in the longest format, this record doesn’t look far-fetched.
