Rohit Sharma’s Unorthodox Shot Impresses Virat Kohli

The five-match ODI series between India and Australia have begun yesterday. Aussie captain Aaron Finch won the toss again and decided to bat first. The pitch was a bit difficult for batting.

Nonetheless, the visitors managed to put on a modest score of 236/7 on the board. Indian bowlers in the likes of Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav got two wickets each. The other wicket went to part-time spinner Kedar Jadhav.

During the Indian run chase, there was an initial hiccup as India lost Shikhar Dhawan in the second over. But the other opener Rohit Sharma played cautiously. Although he scored just 37 runs from 66 balls, that knock included some atrocious shots.

Among those shots, there was an unorthodox scoop off the bowling of Jason Behrendorff. The innovative unorthodox shot resulted in a boundary. The 31-year-old’s shot was so innovative that it even left the best in the business awestruck.

Skipper Virat Kohli, who was at the non-striker’s end, couldn’t stop admiring the shot. He shared a smile with the vice-captain after Rohit played that unorthodox shot. Both Kohli (44) and Rohit shared a 76-runs partnership that stabled India’s innings.
