Mumbai Indians recently had a forgetful night against the Kings XI Punjab. They lost the game and the situation even worsened as MI skipper Rohit Sharma has been fined for slow over rate in Mohali.

The game started at 4 PM and continued well-beyond the stipulated time of 7:30 PM. The three-times IPL winners not only lost the game but now Rohit has to cough up INR 12 Lakhs for slow over rate.

MI went into the match on the back of a win against Royal Challengers Bangalore. On the other hand KXIP entered the game after a defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders. However Rohit-led side succumbed to Ashwin-led side.

MI were put to bat first and they couldn’t reach the impetus as they lost wickets at crucial junctures. They however started well with Rohit and Quinton de Kock adding 51 runs off 31 balls. Rohit threw away another start while apart from de Kock (60), no other batsmen could stand out.
